Martin commenced his Insurance career in the broker network initially working for Hill House Hammond and Ridley Devine before joining the Automobile Association in Newcastle in 1984 where he remained, working in various departments to gain motor insurance and motor claims experience.

Martin joined Claremonts in 2007 as a Loss Adjuster and is a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute, and Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters.
