James established Claremonts in 1993 prior to which he commenced his insurance career in the City with Guardian Royal Exchange, before moving to the Sun Alliance in Brighton as a Claims Inspector.

James returned to the city and Lloyds with J H Minet before choosing his career progression to Loss Adjusting with Thomas Howell Selfe, J S Collyers, Graham Miller Sibilia, Fishers and Davies, latterly opening and managing Davies offices in Durham City and Newcastle upon Tyne.

James has a wealth of experience in Loss Adjusting and is a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute and Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters.
